Sniffing along with me..

Today I decided to ease into blogging while the spring wind rang the wind chimes on the porch and the Weather Channel ranted about tornadoes yet to come.  A few weeks ago we were buried under 22 inches of snow. Today it's almost 90 in Central Missouri.  WillowTree reeks of Spring underneath the Bradford Pears which stink in their glorious profusion.  Whew!

Every morning 24 paws pad outside to sniff the air, take a pee, and lap up cool water.  Puppies quickly learn to follow the adults, but sometimes they don't quite make it to the end of the patio before nature calls them to squat and let it flow.  But the green grass is waiting, the breezes are stirring with enticing aromas of the new day, and if you're ready to take on the challenge,  Life calls you forward to seek out the next adventure.

No, Missy won't catch her squirrel today, but Ladi-Bug will keep the birds out of the back yard. Samson will keep guard over his domain babysitting the pups patiently fathering newly-weaned young which chew his ears and tail.  Suzi will timidly hang close to the house keeping her paws tidy. While Cloe will dig holes with wild abandon, collecting mud balls around her muzzle seeking the sounds of voles somewhere beneath the ground.  And Tiberius, my son's all-natural adolescent schnauzer, will learn a little bit more today in a dog's life.

Me?  I sniffed fresh brewed coffee.  Llberally sugared and creamed--I  turn inside to start my day.  Welcome to WillowTree. Welcome to my world.
